| | Accelerometer Network | |
| |
It includes data concerning active acceleropgraphy network throughout Iran. The accelerography network of Iran has been launched from 1974. It has comprised 1041 sites up to now. The recording systems are analogue and digital. Available data on each site includes; site name and code, coordinates of hypocenters, provinces and additional required data. Acceleorographs are very sensitive and can record very high frequency displacements of the ground. Accelerograms are used in engineering of seismology to analyze the nature of earthquake for example distance, depth, acceleration and mechanism of related fault.
