Assessment of bauxite deposit of Bukan area
  
   Abstract
   This report presents the result of a contract between the bauxite exploration program and Kawoshgaran Consulting Engineers for doing an assessment of Bukan bauxite deposit. The deposit is located at northeast of Bukan county, near the villages of Javanrud and Sarchaveh.
   Using the available data, various parameters of deposit evaluation such as quantities and effective factors were analyzed. The deposit was divided into two zones of Shiteh and Sarchah based on the prepared maps of 1:20000 and 1:5000.
   Considering the type of mineralization, the exploitation of deposit is difficult. But it has good quality and quantity. So it requires more exploration. The deposit contains two bauxite layers, in the Permian Ruteh Formation and between the Ruteh and Triassic layers. The Sarchah zone has better quality than the other parts of deposit.
