The Islamic Republic of Iran is located in the southwest of Asia surrounded by Armenia, Azarbaijan, and the Caspian Sea to the north, by Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan to the east, by the Oman Sea and the Persian Gulf to the south and by Iraq and Turkey to the west.
