Mountainous feature (Fig. 1), high tectonic activity, high seismicity, geological and climatological variety make the Iranian plateau capable for occurring various kinds of landslides (Fig. 2). Landslide is one of the main natural hazards in Iran that annually makes great economic and personal defects. If other natural hazards have occurrence potential for especial periods, but landslide could happen every time in the country. Primary estimations show that annual fiscal defects of landslide is about 500 billion Rials (about 600 Million $s) which it does not involve the loss of unrecoverable resources (Komakpanah, 1994). Landslide causes damage to roads, rails, power lines, water lines, mineral equipments, oil industry, urban infrastructures, dams, forests, natural resources, farming lands and rural areas. Hear the landslide terminology is first described, then with outline to interaction between landslide and natural resources-manmade structures, I define case studies from the Alborz Mountain Belt.
