Each map has an explanatory book report in Persian or English. | | Seismicity Atlases of Iran | Considering destructive effects of earthquake on social, cultural and economical structure of country, GSI aimed to prepare seismicity atlas of country to accommodate urban development, renovation plans and constructional projects with seismicity of Iran. These atlases contains information of causative structures, neotectonical features, active tectonics, geomorphology, seismic faults, large earthquakes, historical damaged zones, uplifting zones and else.
So far the atlas is prepared for Tabriz, Ardebil, Mashhad, Qazvin and Semnan. Also it is preparing for Birjand, Kerman, Rafsanjan and Ahvaz. To improve preparation of atlas, GSI is using consulting services of universities. |
